Danganronpa 2x2 Digital Deluxe vs Standard vs Vacation

The official English products page now lists three ways to pay, not two. Standard is $59.99. The Psycho Tropical Vacation Package is $139.99. Digital Deluxe Edition is $79.99. Japan prints Standard at ¥6,800+tax (¥7,480 tax-in) and Deluxe at ¥9,800+tax. If your memory of this wiki is “only two prices,” that memory is from before the September 2026 site relaunch.

Deluxe is a digital SKU. It is not a second collector box. It does not include the RSVLTS hat, Kidrobot figures, clamshell, or the packaged OST. Those stay on Vacation. Deluxe buys the game plus a Digital Deluxe App that Spike says will not be sold separately.

What the Deluxe App lists

The products page, as of this writing, names five buckets inside the app:

• Photo Studio
• Artwork Gallery
• Sound Gallery
• Character Gallery
• Special Trial Version

That last line is why Deluxe is not just a wallpaper pack. A Special Trial Version also existed as an event build at the November 2025 15th Anniversary Fes. Do not assume the Deluxe trial is a 1:1 copy of that booth ROM. Spike has already said the Fes mystery case would not ship as-is. Treat Deluxe’s trial as a listed extra whose exact cases are unpublished until you can launch the app on January 14, 2027.

Photo Studio and the three galleries are also unpublished in detail. We will not invent a pose list, a tracklist, or a sprite browser. When the app exists, this page will name what you can actually export. Until then, the honest sentence is: Deluxe is $20 over Standard for a bundle of 2x2-branded extras plus a trial build, and you cannot buy the app later à la carte according to current copy.

Platforms

The Deluxe block on the products page shows the same platform row as digital Standard: Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store. Store icons were still filling in when the page launched; do not pre-order a Deluxe SKU that is not actually listed on your storefront. If Steam only shows Standard, wait. The links page is the store map, not a promise that every icon is live.

Vacation Package remains the path if you want physical merch and a platform choice that includes a printed Steam key. Deluxe is the path if you want software extras and already own headphones instead of shelf space. Standard is the path if you only want Original plus Slayhem.

What Deluxe does not include

• No third campaign. Original and Slayhem are in every edition.
• No extra difficulty, no costume that changes Class Trials.
• No hat. No figures. No Flight Tag (that is a Spike-store Vacation pre-order extra).
• No “buy Deluxe later and skip Standard.” If you already bought Standard, read the store’s upgrade policy before you double-pay. Spike has not published a Standard→Deluxe upgrade SKU on the English products page.

Who should pay the extra $20

Pay it if you know you will open galleries and a trial before you dive into a 30-hour novel, or if you want the Photo Studio for wallpapers. Skip it if you are already stretching to $139.99 for Vacation — Deluxe does not stack merch. Skip it if you are buying Switch 2 physical; Deluxe is digital, and Switch 2 physical is a Game-Key Card conversation, not an app conversation.

Digital pre-order bonus copy (100 Monocoins + Jabberwock Island Souvenir Set) is still printed on Standard digital, not described as Deluxe-exclusive. Confirm the product page on the day you click. Screenshot it. The checklist exists because people mix these sentences.
