Danganronpa 2x2 is a premium single-player release, not a cloud toy. The official site publishes a comparison table. This page translates that table into a buying decision. If you already know you want merch, pair it with editions. If you are torn between handheld and 4K, stay here.

HDR is listed as not supported on every column of the official table. Do not buy a TV “for Danganronpa HDR.”

4K is PS5, Series X, and PC. Switch 2 is a 1080p target even docked. That is a clear sentence for anyone hoping the new Nintendo hardware would match a living-room 4K disc.

Data size and saves

Official rows (rounded from the spec sheet):

• Switch 2: about 14.5 GiB Japan/Asia, 14.8 GiB NA/EU; 4 MiB saves; 1 autosave + 30 manuals.
• Switch: about 9.77 / 9.96 GiB; same save counts.
• PS5: about 18.1–18.7 GiB depending on region; 1 auto + 30 manuals.
• Xbox: about 21.88 GiB; 1 auto + 30 manuals.
• PC: about 22.71 GiB listed in one column; Steam/Epic also quote 40 GB free space on the PC requirements block — budget the larger number when you clean a drive.

Nintendo save transfer is not supported either way (Switch → Switch 2 and Switch 2 → Switch). Backward compatibility: the Switch version can be played on a Switch 2 system; the Switch 2 version is not something you take back to a Switch 1. If you might sell the new handheld, buy the Switch SKU, not the Switch 2 SKU.

PC requirements (official)

Minimum: Windows 11 64-bit, Intel Core i5-14400 or AMD Ryzen 5 4500, 8 GB RAM, RTX 2060 or RX 6600, DirectX 12, 40 GB free, Windows audio device.

Recommended: Windows 11 64-bit, Intel Core i7-14700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7700, 32 GB RAM, RTX 4070 or RX 7700 XT, DirectX 12, 40 GB free.

The 32 GB recommended RAM figure is the one people will screenshot. If you have 16 GB, try minimum GPU settings and close the browser. If you have 8 GB, you are on the published minimum — expect to lower resolution toward 720p.

Mouse control is listed as available on PC and not on Switch. Joy-Con sharing, GameShare, and GameChat are all no.

How to choose in one paragraph

• Want 4K 60 and a disc? PS5.
• Want 4K 60 on Game Pass hardware you already own? Series X.
• Want handheld on the new Nintendo system and can live with 1080p? Switch 2, knowing the cart is a Game-Key Card (US Spike Vacation Switch 2 orders were cancelled in August 2026; UK/EU kept the box).
• Want a cheaper handheld SKU you can also dock on Switch 2 via backward compatibility? Switch 1 version — but you cannot move that save into a Switch 2 copy later.
• Want mods, mouse, and the Steam overlay? PC, if your RAM and GPU clear the table.
• Want the collector Steam card? Spike Chunsoft store, not a random key site. See pre-order.

Xbox Series S is 1080p 60 according to the table — still a locked 60, still no HDR. Fine for dialogue, less exciting if the 3D world map is why you are upgrading.

Languages vs SKU

The product blurb says text and voice: Japanese, English. Other rows in the spec grid mention Chinese text on some platforms. If Chinese text is a requirement, verify the store page language list, not this summary. This wiki itself ships English, Japanese, French, and German articles; that is our site, not the game’s UI.
